HIFULL® HB-151(BET=150㎡/g)
HIFULL® HB-151 is hydrophobic fumed silica which is produced by hydrophilic fumed silica after chemical post-treatment with Dimethyldichlorosilane / DDS. It is widely used in coatings and inks.

HB-151 has obvious effects on anti-sedimentation, anti-sagging and rheological control of coatings and inks.
In coating products, it helps to prevent settling and layering of pigment and filler, improve viscosity and consistency, avoid sagging and extra paints when applying or in construction;
Besides, it improves performance in salt mist resistance, water resistance, scratch resistance and the bonding strength between the coating and the substrate of coatings.
In printing inks, the viscosity of the ink can be adjust to prevent the pigment from settling. And that thixotropy of the ink is improve, so that the ink is kept in a good rheological state in the printing process, and the printing efficiency is improved.
In adhesives and sealants, HB-151 has the function of reinforcement and flow aid, which improves the mechanical strength, bonding and sealing performance.
In powder coatings, it promotes free flow and prevents caking issues.

When fumed silica is used as filler or additives, it helps in thickening, reinforcement, transparency, free-flow, thixotropic performance, dielectric properties, anti-settling, heat insulation, and anti-sagging. For example, for powder products, HIFULL fumed silica is used as an anti-caking agent; for liquid products, HIFULL fumed silica is used as an anti-settling agent or suspending agent.
