A video to introduce HIFULL® fumed silica, today we are looking at HIFULL HB-615 hydrophobic fumed silica.
HIFULL® HB-615 (BET=140㎡/g)
Same as HB-612, HB-615 is hydrophobic fumed silica produced by hydrophilic fumed silica with a specific surface area of 150m2/g after chemical post-treatment with Hexamethyldisilazane/HMDS. But HB-615 is more suitable to be applied in RTV and HTV silicon rubber.

HIFULL HB-615 can improve the mechanical properties of RTV rubber and HTV silicone rubber, enhance their tensile strength and tear strength.
Their viscosity and the consistency of the rubber material are increased, the plasticity is adjusted, the production efficiency, product quality and stability are improved, and sedimentation of the pigment and filler during production and storage is avoided, so that prolongs the storage period.
In addition to reinforcing, thickening and thixotropic effect on RTV silicone rubber, HB-615 can also make RTV silicone rubber have good durability and prolong its service life.
As a multi-functional filler, HIFULL HB-615 can improve the process convenience and stability of paint production, storage, application and film curing.
In printing inks, it helps to improve the fluidity, uniformity and stability, adjust the fluidity and adhesion of the toner to make the image brighter and more colorful.
In elastomers, adhesives and sealants, HB-615 can play its role of reinforcement, thickening and thixotropy, and improve the mechanical properties and construction properties of materials.

Pyrohydrolysi & Trichloromethylsilane
Fumed silica is synthesized by the pyrohydrolysis of silicon tetrachloride or trichloromethylsilane in the flame of hydrogen and oxygen. Our main raw material is silicon tetrachloride, and the secondary is trichloromethylsilane.

When fumed silica is used as filler or additives, it helps in thickening, reinforcement, transparency, free-flow, thixotropic performance, dielectric properties, anti-settling, heat insulation, and anti-sagging. For example, for powder products, HIFULL fumed silica is used as an anti-caking agent; for liquid products, HIFULL fumed silica is used as an anti-settling agent or suspending agent.
