Dosage of HIFULL FA-32 Affects Anti-caking Performance of Tomato Powders

HIFULL FA-32 fumed silica helps to prevent caking or clumping issues for powder products, Its dosage amount also affects the anti-caking performance of tomato powders

  • Add 0.5% and 1% of HIFULL FA-32 into tomato powder as sample A and B /
  • Disperse them in a three-dimensional mixing Machine at 1500 rpm for 2 minutes /
  • Keep the sample without HIFULL fumed silica and samples A & B sealed at room temperature /
  • Expose to air for 30 seconds each day
  • Check out by the fifteen’s day
  • The sample without HIFULL fumed silica is completely caked
  • While sample A clumps a bit and Sample B still flows freely
  • As anti-caking agent, A higher dosage of HIFULL FA-32 within a certain range will exhibit a better-flowing ability for tomato powders

Pyrohydrolysi & Trichloromethylsilane

Fumed silica is synthesized by the pyrohydrolysis of silicon tetrachloride or trichloromethylsilane in the flame of hydrogen and oxygen. Our main raw material is silicon tetrachloride, and the secondary is trichloromethylsilane.

When fumed silica is used as filler or additives, it helps in thickening, reinforcement, transparency, free-flow, thixotropic performance, dielectric properties, anti-settling, heat insulation, and anti-sagging. For example, for powder products, HIFULL fumed silica is used as an anti-caking agent; for liquid products, HIFULL fumed silica is used as an anti-settling agent or suspending agent.
