- Add HIFULL HB-139, competitor A, and competitor B into acrylic acid coating at the same proportions
- uniformly disperse first and then defoam them
- apply the three coating samples evenly onto tinplates respectively dry them,
- place the coated tinplates on the contact angle goniometer
- As the water droplet falls from the contact angle goniometer,
- a semi-oval shape shows on the surface of the tinplate coated with HIFULL HB-139/
- Even after two more droplets are added, the water droplet still retains its semi-oval shape
- This demonstrates excellent hydrophobic properties of HIFULL HB-139
Next, let us use software to test the value of the contact angles of these three samples
The final result is showing on the screen, the larger its contact angel, the better its hydrophobicity
HIFULL HB-139 is 80°, higher than International competitor A and lower than B, HIFULL fumed silica also has good performance in quality

When fumed silica is used as filler or additives, it helps in thickening, reinforcement, transparency, free-flow, thixotropic performance, dielectric properties, anti-settling, heat insulation, and anti-sagging. For example, for powder products, HIFULL fumed silica is used as an anti-caking agent; for liquid products, HIFULL fumed silica is used as an anti-settling agent or suspending agent.
