Toward a Standardization Roadmap for Humanoid Robotics

Beyond the technical presentations, the workshop focused on global trends in the humanoid robotics industry and explored the future standardization roadmap of ISO/TC 256 in this emerging field. As humanoid robots move toward practical deployment, demand is growing for specialized materials — from fumed silica for silicone rubber skin and flexible components to nanocarbon materials for thermal management — and standards will play a key role in guiding product performance, safety and reliability.

The workshop was jointly hosted by Hubei Huifu Nanomaterial Co., Ltd., CNOOC Changzhou Paint and Coatings Industry Research Institute Co., Ltd., Guangzhou Huifu Research Institute Co., Ltd., and the Zhongguancun Huaqing Graphene Industry Technology Innovation Alliance. It was also one of the World Standards Day events.
